Walls covered in delicious de Gournay, orange [velvet?] chairs and glossy gray molding, courtesy of Massucco Warner Miller. I love the lines of the chairs (especially the legs) and the height of the head chairs. Is it just me or could the room user a larger light fixture hung a bit lower? Either way, this room is wonderful...definite dining room inspiration.
I plan to make more progress on our bathroom this weekend in the hopes of actually finishing it! We'll see how it goes. Hope you have a great weekend - see you Monday!

LOVE the orange chairs (sigh) and the De Gournay - have you seen the yellow colorway of that same pattern? - used it in a dressingroom for a clients' boutique - and you are totally right....bigger and lower chandelier! Good luck on the bathroom this weekend....can't wait to see the pictures!
ReplyDeletethe walls are lovely and you're right the leg shapes are very simple and elegant. The orange agianst the more complex green background works well too. I also agree about the light. Its perfectly nice but feels a bit apologetic in this context.
ReplyDeleteI don't think its possible to ever tire of that de Gournay pattern....it is remarkable.
ReplyDeleteI read your blog daily, but am a first time commenter - love your site!
Their working is just stunning.
