In other Mason's Nursery news, we pulled the trigger on this beautiful crown light fixture to replace the current ceiling fan.
Although we haven't hung it yet, it's out of the box and it's really, really cute. The finish is the perfect antique gold (matte, not shiny) and it makes for a great center-of-the-room fixture because it doesn't hang too low - so mom and dad won't be bonking their heads as they walk around sleep-deprived.
It will be the sweetest touch to this little boy's room.
We also made progress on the dresser this past weekend:
Julianne and I got out the sandpaper, primer, paint and brushes and went to town. We found out Julianne is an aggressive sandpaperer and that oil-based primer is your friend. It was also snowing in the DC area on Saturday, so Juli and I took the opportunity to bake some gingerbread cookies, sip apple cider and listen to Christmas music. Best day ever.
I'm picking up some good tips to share from this furniture painting project, so stay tuned.

Adorable!!! What a lucky little man :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love that light fixture!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fixture but there are studies that show a ceiling fan reduces the risk of SIDS
