The new issue of Lonny is fantastic and the feature on a home designed by Jamie Meares is not to be missed. I love this cozy den because it shows that a small space does not call for small things. Jamie used a huge mirror, a large sectional, and large window treatments to fill up the room and use it to its maximum potential. And I adore the color palette. The perfect place to read a book and look out the window.
Have a wonderful weekend...see you Monday!
What a great use of a small space, and the colors give it such interest!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree! She has a very good eye for mixing traditional and modern styles. It is sophisticated yet fun. For example, I loved the white dressing table with the upholstered chair and rustic mirror combo. The kitchen space was also great. I am an empty nester and my stlyle leans toward traditional yet I would like to keep it fresh, her rooms definitely inspire me yet I forwarded the Lonny Mag article to my 26 year old daughter!
ReplyDeleteD - you should come to Raleigh and visit Furbish, Jamie's store! I can't go in there without coming home with something. It is like a girly, animal-print fantasy land.
